i continue to ask -- where does time go? i can't believe our sweet emerson is three weeks old today. he is sooooo precious and i adore him more and more with each passing moment. he's started to be a little more fussy in the past week, but even so -- he's perfect to us.
funny story: last week i was holding him and as he often does, he tilted his head back as he fell asleep. i had this full on shot of the inside of his nostrils. my random brain led me to think about how someday those now clean nostrils would have hair in them and he would be a grown man and i wouldn't be able to hold him in my arms like this anymore... i know it's silly, but i just can't believe how fast he grows.
motherhood is treating me well. i can't believe i'm a 1/4 of the way through my maternity leave already, but i'm trying to think more about what i'll do with the remaining 9 weeks than what has already passed. i'm looking forward to the next couple of months with good friends visiting and traveling to rockford, eau claire and ithaca to introduce our amazing emerson to those who haven't met him yet.
we are truly blessed and i'm beyond grateful. more soon...
